Job summary

RBC is seeking an experienced Database Developer in Bedford, Canada, to design robust database objects and processes for large data volumes in capital markets. You will model, develop and optimize databases, ensure data integrity, and build scalable ETL/ELT workflows for analytics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in database design and development.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and T-SQL.
• Experience working with MS SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex databases while maintaining data integrity.
• Model databases and contribute to database applications.
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Write and execute SQL/NoSQL queries with data security and integrity.
• Test databases for accuracy and document designs and modifications.
• Provide technical support for database questions and issues.
• Create software for retrieving, parsing and processing data.
• Define and build scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Support data platforms for high availability and performance.
• Develop scripts to convert various data types into usable formats.
