Job summary

Allied Properties REIT is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the evolution of its data platform and governance framework. You will drive optimization across Yardi, Power BI, Fabric, and the Microsoft stack while enabling AI-enabled insights for business decisions.

The role requires deep knowledge of data architecture, integration, and governance, with a track record of delivering data products and analytics at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, implementing, and evolving enterprise data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, large-scale pipelines) and preparing data for advanced analytics and AI workloads.
• Deep expertise with the Microsoft data and AI stack (Fabric, Power Platform, Power BI, Azure data/compute services).
• Solid grasp of machine-learning fundamentals, LLMs, and generative AI concepts.
• Experience with data governance frameworks, data modelling, metadata management, and governance committees or data stewards.
• Advanced SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala).
• Proven track record integrating ERP data, ideally Yardi or similar real-estate/financial systems.
• Experience transitioning reporting from legacy systems to modern BI platforms, including managing change with end users.
• Proven ability to lead data projects through full lifecycle within a PMO/SDLC framework, delivering under Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
• Strong communication skills to translate business needs into technical and AI-driven solutions.
• Ability to work independently, propose creative solutions, and tackle complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Allied's enterprise data platform built on Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and Power BI, ensuring security and performance.
• Maintain target-state architecture, standards, and roadmaps; update designs as the platform matures.
• Optimize data pipelines from Yardi, Excel, and other sources into Fabric.
• Evaluate modern data tools within Microsoft-centric ecosystem; consider AWS/QuickSight for speed or fit.
• Define and enforce standards for documentation, testing, monitoring, and platform evolution.
• Lead data integration across Yardi, Microsoft services, IoT, and third-party apps; build Power Apps and dashboards.
• Drive transition of Yardi reports into Power BI; manage change and user adoption.
• Champion data quality, security, lineage, cataloging, observability; optimize cloud performance and cost.
• Collaborate across departments to unlock data-driven insights and AI-enabled decision-making.
