Clutch, Canadas largest online used car retailer, is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to shape financing experiences from pre-qualification to purchase. You will join the data team and work with product, marketing, and engineering to deliver insights that move customers from browsing to buying.

You will build models and experiments to understand financing behavior, forecast demand, and inform strategy. This is a hands-on role in a fast-growing fintech-enabled e-commerce business.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a highly analytical role.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; comfortable with messy data and ambiguous questions.
• Solid statistical fundamentals, experimentation experience, and rigorous validation.
• Decision modeling experience influencing real business outcomes.
• Excellent communication to explain complex trade-offs to leaders.

Responsabilidades

• Define data science roadmap for financing initiatives and influence delivery.
• Analyze buyer journey and financing funnel to identify improvement points.
• Build production-ready models powering financing-first shopping experiences.
• Predict financing intent from on-site behavior and guide customers with the right information.
• Own pre-qualification end-to-end, from start to drop-off and impact on purchases.
• Design experiments to test new financing presentations across site and checkout.
• Quantify financing impact on conversion, order value and lifetime value, translating findings into recommendations.
• Collaborate with data engineering and external partners to scale data foundations.
• Work with external partners to refine journeys and programs improving experience and risk.
