Job summary

S I Systems is seeking a Sr. Data Developer in Oshawa, Ontario, for a 36‑month engagement. The role requires designing and developing data pipelines, models, and automation in an agile setting, with on-site work 3 days per week.

You will contribute to a governed and scalable data infrastructure, aligned with business and technology partners’ needs. The position emphasizes ELT/ETL development, data modeling, and CI/CD tooling, with a focus on Azure cloud-native solutions and enterprise data

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years experience in Data Development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and Azure Services.
• Experience designing and developing scalable ETL pipelines on Azure using cloud-native tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and architecture of data pipelines, models, and automation.
• Collaborate with agile teams and partners to deliver governed data infrastructure.
• Develop scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and dimensional data models for BI/reporting.
• Ensure data security, quality checks, and performance optimization across pipelines.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts; monitor pipeline health.
