Job summary

Spin Master is seeking a Senior Data Protection & Governance Engineer to lead the deployment of a Microsoft-centric data security and governance ecosystem. You will architect and implement Microsoft Purview from scratch, translating regulatory requirements into automated guardrails within a full-time contract that can convert to permanent.

The role focuses on data discovery, classification, DLP, and access controls across the M365 environment, with collaboration across Legal and InfoSec to drive

Qualifications

• Proven track record of end-to-end implementations of Microsoft Purview from scratch to production.
• Deep technical experience building SaaS DLP policies within M365 and implementing advanced identity controls (RBAC/ABAC).
• Strong development and scripting capabilities using Power Automate and PowerShell to connect triggers to SharePoint and M365 APIs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure the Microsoft Purview Data Catalog to enable data discovery, lineage, and governance across the M365 ecosystem.
• Design and deploy a data classification framework with automated security labels and retention policies.
• Engineer and deploy unified Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and configure Purview IRM.
• Implement access guardrails using RBAC and ABAC with Entra ID Conditional Access.
• Build Power Automate solutions integrating with SharePoint and other M365 services to automate compliance workflows.
• Collaborate with Legal, InfoSec, and business units to translate policies into Purview configurations.
