Job summary

Ipsos Canada is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize cloud-based data pipelines and data warehouses for large-scale datasets. You will build robust, scalable architectures that process and store data efficiently, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver insights.

You'll leverage Python and SQL, plus Google Cloud Platform services like BigQuery and GCS, to ingest, transform and warehouse data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with data warehousing knowledge.
• Experience with cloud-based data pipelines and AI/LLM tools a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and test cloud-based data pipelines for large-scale datasets.
• Develop and maintain data warehouses for efficient storage and cost optimization.
• Ingest data from diverse sources using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align goals and deliver insights.
• Migrate development code to production and optimize processes.
• Troubleshoot and improve infrastructure and codebases.
