Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to mature and support the data platform. You will collaborate with IT, business stakeholders and external vendors to advance data and analytics initiatives.

The role reports to the head of data engineering and requires 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, strong AWS and Airflow skills, and expertise in data warehousing, SQL, and cloud DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of related experience in data engineering or analytics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support implemented applications.
• Work in all phases of the software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Participate in daily scrums, work with Scrum Master and QA Team on projects, and support delivery timelines and priorities.
• Solves problems independently with limited supervision and assists other developers with technical questions.
• Consistently delivers high quality software and provides coaching to peers and junior team members. Can help drive the team's activities in the absence of leadership / scrum masters for short periods while delivering upon objectives.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements in specific processes or functional areas, recommend solutions & advocate for implementation.
• Influence technical design decisions & make recommendations on high level architecture
