Job summary

Quandri is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the Databricks data lake, medallion layers, and streaming ingestion. You will partner with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to build scalable data platforms and AI data infrastructure.

You’ll design multi-tenant data architectures, drive governance and security, and push observability across cloud databases. This role offers global flexibility and a high-impact product focus.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience owning the maintenance and implementation of databases, data pipelines and backends with a focus on efficient data management.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience designing multi-tenant data systems with isolation and handling regulated data (PII).
• Proficiency in data modeling, medallion architecture, star schema, or Snowflake schema.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with dbt, Databricks Workflows, Apache Airflow, Dagster or equivalent tooling.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Databricks SQL dashboards or Tableau/Power BI.
• Experience building or supporting AI products.
• Proficiency in data governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the Databricks data lake end to end, including medallion layers and partitioning.
• Stand up CDC and streaming ingestion from HubSpot, Langfuse, Postgres, and DynamoDB into the data lake with idempotency and dedup handling.
• Own data services, schema and migration strategy, versioned APIs, provenance and audit trails, tests and observability.
• Build AI data infrastructure, embedding pipelines, vector stores, retrieval knowledge bases, feature stores, LLM observability.
• Develop and maintain cloud databases with the Infrastructure team, improve data retrieval and optimize analytics dashboards.
• Maintain data management and security policies.
• Collaborate with software/AI/ML engineers, data scientists, product, and business units to align on requirements and communicate complex concepts.
• Guide and mentor engineers in data best practices.
