Job summary

Sonatype, a leader in software supply chain security, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the Business Intelligence team in Canada. You will transform complex product data into actionable insights, build scalable analytics infrastructure, and mentor junior analysts.

This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and data-driven product decisions. Location is Canada-based (Ontario or Eastern time preferred).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data analysis, BI, or product analytics in SaaS/tech.
• Must be based in Canada (Ontario or Eastern time zone preferred).
• Proficient in SQL and Python; strong Databricks experience; Looker or similar visualization tool favored.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product usage, telemetry and financial metrics to optimize UX and product strategy.
• Own end-to-end analytics lifecycle including data modeling, dashboards, KPI development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver insights on tight turnarounds.
• Mentor associate-level analysts and uphold high analytics quality.
• Track ticket throughput and timely delivery of analytics tasks.
