Job summary

Assent Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for the Data & AI Platform to design and run the infrastructure behind our data pipelines, warehousing, and AI/ML systems on AWS.

You will partner with Data Engineering to ensure scalable, secure, and automated delivery of data workloads. You will own infrastructure quality, build CI/CD pipelines and observability, and help evolve Assent's DevOps practices across a growing data platform.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in modern data platforms, including Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
• Proven experience with DevOps tooling (AWS, Terraform, CI/CD) and infrastructure as code.
• Experience designing observability, alerting, and incident response for data workloads.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Awareness of security, governance, and compliance related to data systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical quality of the Data & AI Platform infrastructure and automation.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable IaC and platform automation for data pipelines, warehousing, and AI workloads on AWS.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to translate requirements into robust infrastructure.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and environment tooling for the data platform.
• Define observability, alerting, and incident-response practices for data workloads.
• Contribute to security governance and access policies for data infra.
• Mentor Data Engineering on deployment best practices within DevOps standards.
• Stay current with emerging DevOps/data infra tech and drive adoption.
• Contribute to broader DevOps initiatives and shared infrastructure.
