Multimatic’s Damper Design team in Markham, Ontario is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to develop new suspension damper products, leveraging Multimatic's DSSV technology from concept to high‑volume production.

You will lead design concepts, CAD models, GD&T, DFMEA/DVP&R, and collaborate with cross‑functional groups and customers to meet performance, durability, manufacturability, and cost targets, with hands‑on prototype builds and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
• 6+ years of automotive component design experience.
• Proven leadership of major programs from concept to production.
• Strong 3D modeling and GD&T documentation (NX or CATIA).
• Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R.
• Hands-on with hydraulic assemblies.

Responsabilités

• Generate innovative damper design concepts for OEMs.
• Develop 3D models, drawings with GD&T, and DFMEA/DVP&R.
• Lead product development through validation studies.
• Collaborate with customers to capture requirements and updates.
• Coordinate with program management, process and quality teams for DFM/ DFA/VA-VE.
• Work with Electronics/Software teams for integrated solutions.
• Hands-on assembly and tuning for prototypes and testing.
• Provide technical mentorship.
