lululemon is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable security capabilities across cloud, data, and application environments. You will lead security architecture discussions, develop automation, and embed security into technology delivery with a focus on secure-by-design decisions.

The role requires 6–10 years of security engineering leadership, experience building enterprise security controls, and strong threat modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience leading security engineering initiatives.
• Proven experience implementing enterprise security controls and security infrastructure at scale.
• Track record of building security platforms and SDKs; experience with security code review practices.
• Strong ability to lead advanced threat modeling for complex systems.

The Security Engineering & Architecture team is responsible for building, scaling, and continuously improving cybersecurity capabilities that protect lululemon's technology ecosystem. We partner closely with Enterprise Engineering, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams to embed security into technology decisions, software development, and operational processes.

core responsibilities

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will design, build, and deploy scalable security capabilities that reduce risk and enable secure technology delivery. You will translate security architecture and requirements into practical controls, automation, platforms, and reusable engineering solutions.

Select responsibilities include:

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain reliable, scalable security capabilities across cloud, infrastructure, endpoint, application, identity, and data environments.
• Develop automation, services, APIs, integrations, and tooling that embed security controls into technology delivery and reduce manual effort.
• Translate security architecture and requirements into reusable patterns, guardrails, and deployable engineering solutions.
• Apply modern software engineering practices, including source control, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, code review, and infrastructure as code.
• Partner with architecture and engineering teams to conduct threat modelling and security design reviews, enabling secure-by-design decisions from design through deployment.
• Evaluate and improve security capabilities to increase effectiveness, reliability, and operational sustainability.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership, establish engineering standards, and support the growth of other engineers.

qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; security certification strongly preferred
• 6-10 years of experience leading security engineering initiatives, establishing security standards and practices, and building security systems at scale, or equivalent
• Proven experience implementing enterprise security controls and building security infrastructure including centralized authentication, authorization services, and security policy enforcement systems at scale
• Track record of writing complex security systems including security platforms and SDKs; experience establishing security code review practices, security checklists, and security development frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to lead advanced threat modeling for complex systems, anticipating sophisticated adversarial behaviour; experience owning investigation and resolution of complex security incidents with deep root cause analysis
• Experience designing and building automations, integrations, and API-driven workflows.
• Strong understanding of security engineering principles across infrastructure, applications, cloud, identity, endpoint, and data domains.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this positionis from $132,600 - $174,000 annually ; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
