Working Business Language: This role is considered a head-office position and requires communication with internal stakeholders across Canada, primarily in English.

Salary: At Wawanesa, salary is just one component of a holistic, competitive package that includes an annual bonus plan, leave of absence top-up programs, generous vacation and personal days, premium-free benefits, and a pension plan.

The offered salary considers various factors such as work location, local labour market, external market data, internal pay equity, and the candidate's skills and experience. The estimated salary range is $130,000 - $155,000. Candidates outside this range are encouraged to apply.

Job Overview

Do you have a passion for cybersecurity within technology and business? Are you an effective communicator who simplifies complex technical concepts? This role involves designing and implementing systems for the Cyber Security team, ensuring security architecture is modeled and documented. The Senior Cyber Security Architect provides advanced expertise and thought leadership, supporting the Information Security Department in various capacities.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end solution architecture for Cyber Security.
• Develop and maintain current security architecture models and artifacts.
• Create understandable security requirements.
• Guide solution delivery teams to align with security architecture.
• Identify security requirements, both functional and non-functional.
• Develop and execute security architecture roadmaps.
• Assist in designing and maintaining security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Support legal and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Lead thought leadership initiatives in security.
• Mentor peers within the Information Security team.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Security architecture.
• Over 5 years of full lifecycle solution design experience.
• More than 7 years working with Enterprise IT Systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience in modeling applications, services, systems, and data.
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale cloud-native applications.
• Experience with enterprise software configuration and integration.
• Advanced solution design and delivery skills.
• Knowledge of integration platforms.
• Strong business acumen to translate requirements into solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Cyber Security certifications such as CISSP, ISSAP, SABSA, CISM, etc.
