BMO Financial Group is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee cyber risk governance across Cybersecurity and Technology risk areas. The role provides independent challenge, assesses risk profiles across portfolios, and advises senior leaders on material exposures and strategic initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring strong technical credibility, excellent communication, and the ability to influence risk decisions across cross-functional teams in a complex banking environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, operational risk, information security, audit, or related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and control environments.
• Experience communicating risk insights to senior leaders and governance forums.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of cybersecurity and related technology risks.
• Develop independent views of cybersecurity risk across portfolios.
• Offer strategic risk input to senior leaders on technology initiatives and third-party dependencies.
• Evaluate design and effectiveness of cybersecurity governance frameworks and controls.
• Lead risk-based oversight activities and inspections with cross-functional teams.
• Translate technical risk matters into concise reporting for executives and boards.
