Job summary

Upper Canada District School Board is hiring a Lead Custodian responsible for the appearance of one or more worksites and the second shift. You will work under the Facilities Operations Manager and coordinate custodial activities, maintenance, and safety compliance.

The role requires a diploma, BES modules or equivalent, and several years of cleaning/maintenance experience. Training in health, safety, and site operations will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma required.
• Complete BES modules or equivalent education/experience.
• 3+ years cleaning and maintenance experience.
• Possess courses/certifications like water treatment, lockout/tag out, fall arrest, WHMIS as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning and appearance of worksites and second shift.
• Coordinate custodial tasks and lead site-based initiatives.
• Manage safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S, WHMIS, and related regulations.
• Lead and motivate custodial staff and handle site operations.
