Job summary

Palliser School Division seeks a Permanent Full-Time Head Caretaker for Dorothy Dalgliesh School in Alberta. The role runs 7:30 am–11:30 am and 1:30 pm–5:30 pm, Monday–Thursday, with Friday and PD days 7:30 am–4:00 pm. Start date is September 14, 2026. Duties include custodial cleaning, safety, and minor maintenance, with heavy lifting as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid Building Operator Certificate “B” or 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years related custodial experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, damp mopping floors, vacuuming and cleaning washrooms, fixtures and partitions.
• Washing desks, counters and doors, windows and blackboards/ledges; other related duties.
• Some heavy lifting may be required.
• Assist with maintenance and supervise custodial staff as needed.
