Job description

The Specialized Lending Account Manager supports underwriting and adjudication activities within an established credit risk framework. This role is responsible for reviewing and adjudicating lending applications secured by insurance and wealth assets, exercising delegated lending authority, and ensuring adherence to credit policies and risk appetite.

This is a hands‑on role requiring strong credit judgment, underwriting experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, underwrite, and adjudicate lending applications within delegated lending authority
  • Perform independent and thorough credit analysis with clear, well‑supported recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide clear rationale for credit decisions, including approvals and declines
  • Escalate applications exceeding delegated authority to appropriate approval levels
  • Maintain portfolio quality in line with risk appetite and regulatory standards
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen risk practices and credit structures
  • Support portfolio governance, including timely annual credit reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement in underwriting quality and risk‑based decision making
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial banking or lending
  • Strong understanding of financial services and credit risk principles
  • Fluent in French and English (spoken, written, and reading)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience exercising delegated lending authority or working in credit risk
  • Exposure to ultra‑high‑net‑worth or private banking clients
Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $45 – $47 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including bonuses, commission (if applicable), and/or other incentives, as well as a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, and market factors.
