Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a senior leader to oversee model risk governance and the governance framework across portfolios. You will develop policies, standards, and controls to enhance transparency, accuracy and consistency, while ensuring timely reporting and action plans.

You will work with stakeholders to implement methodologies, metrics, and program standards, and you will prepare governance reports for internal and external audiences, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• In-depth / expert knowledge of the model life cycle and model risk management practices.
• In-depth / expert knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• In-depth / expert knowledge of risk policy frameworks; quality control/testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees model risk governance program and reporting.
• Leads governance meetings and maintains governing body mandates.
• Represents risk program during internal/external regulatory audits or examinations.
• Develops and implements governance policies, standards, and controls.
• Drives analytics, metrics, and reporting for risk governance.
