Job summary

TD Bank Group in Toronto, Canada is seeking a risk management professional to drive risk strategy and loss-reduction outcomes across retail lending portfolios, including credit cards, auto finance and real estate secured products.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years Databricks/Python experience with Relational Databases.

Job Description

A high-visibility opportunity for a risk management professional to drive risk strategy and loss-reduction outcomes. This role offers the unique opportunity to analyze trends in the retail collections business and develop new strategies insights to drive business performance. This includes the identification of business and industry related trends and loss avoidance opportunities across the full suite of retail lending portfolios including credit cards, auto finance, personal lending, small business banking, and real estate secured products. Through regular analysis of key risk indicator trends and the development of new metrics, this role is critical in reducing losses for the bank.

Key Accountabilities
  • Ownership, creation, and continuous improvement of the Customer Assistance Risk strategies and oversights.
  • Develop and build verification process of risk collection strategies as per guidelines.
  • Create and adhere to Quality Control measures as they pertain to data mining and strategies creation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Customer Assistance processes, procedures, strategies, and data sources.
  • Develop points of view through deep-dive analysis to help minimize losses and increase recoveries.
  • Identify risk mitigation opportunities to optimize existing strategies.
Job Requirements
  • 5+ years Databricks/Python experience with the use of Relational Databases.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to optimize code performance and processing efficiency.
  • Very strong verbal, written, presentation & communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills Existing knowledge of Customer Assistance (Collections and Recovery) business and procedures.
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert data into actionable recommendations.
  • Can test and prove that data presented is accurate.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an initiative with little supervision.
  • Self-motivated team player with high energy and thinks outside the box.
  • Experience developing engaging data visualizations using Power BI.
  • Experience developing and presenting recommendations to an executive audience
