Job summary

Job Responsibilities:

Salary Range: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour

  • Design and program welding equipment from start of project to completion.
  • Observe standards set out by MDV Ensure that job is completed on time and functioning safely.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy
  • Know what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properly
  • Consult your Manager if you are not 100% sure of how to perform tasks in a safe manner
  • Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality products
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments.
Other Tasks:
  • Continuously adhere to and apply the Magna Employee's Charter, the Magna Corporate Constitution, and the Magna Operational Principles in all aspects of position and interaction with others.
  • Effective use of MDV's Escalation Process.
  • Compliance to IATF customer requirements
  • Attends all scheduled meetings and training.
  • Understands and follows established rules, procedures and policies relating to position.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Extensive knowledge of PLC and Robotic programming and control
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Allen Bradley/Rockwell software and communication
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Highway, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet and other communication protocols
  • Excellent knowledge of resistance welding, electrical standards and latest safety standards
  • Good understanding of programmable motion control
  • Senior Level position with 2-5 years of experience

  • Ability to multi-task several projects at one time identifying and adjusting priorities to ensure work flow is conducted efficiently
  • Lead the design of control solutions including both hardware and software.
  • Writes data specifications, operators manuals and acceptance test plans.
  • Installs and troubleshoots mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic components on electrical equipment.
