Job summary

CenterLine (Windsor), Limited is seeking a Senior Controls Designer to lead controls designs using AutoCAD Electrical and collaborate with a team of Controls Designers. The role reports to the Controls Design Supervisor.

You will design 480/600VAC and 120VAC 24VDC solutions, networks, robot interfaces, fixtures, enclosures, and diagrams while ensuring compliance with customer specs. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of controls design, a post-secondary engineering/mechatronics degree, and working

Qualifications

• 8+ years of controls design experience.
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Office 365, Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Develop Controls Designs for Custom Machinery, Turnkey, Applied and Configured Products.
• Design 480/600VAC, 120VAC 24VDC solutions.
• Design communication networks, robot interfaces, fixture tooling solutions, interconnection diagrams, cell layouts, and utility requirements.
• Adhere to applicable codes and customer specifications; support project milestones.

What you will do

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Team as we are actively recruiting for a Senior Controls Designer responsible for developing and leading controls designs using AutoCAD Electrical. This position will work closely with a team of Controls Designers in a collaborative work environment. This position reports to the Controls Design Supervisor.

What we’re looking for

• Develop Controls Designs for Custom Machinery, Turnkey, Applied and Configured Products.
• Design 480/600VAC, 120VAC 24VDC solutions.
• Design communication networks.
• Design robot interfaces.
• Design fixture tooling solutions.
• Design interconnection diagrams, cell layouts, and utility requirements.
• Design enclosures, provide component placement, consider interconnection solutions.
• Design fluids, providing solutions for fixtures, robots, cells, applied and configured products, headers, etc.
• Research component function, read datasheets.
• Select components, size circuits, create schematics, size cables, release materials.
• Attend meetings, internally and with customers, supporting project milestones.
• Work closely with a team, coordinate efforts to support project timelines.
• Adhere to applicable federal, provincial, state and local codes and laws as applicable.
• Adhere to customer specifications as applicable.

What you need to succeed

• Controls Design experience or equivalent. (8+ years)
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Office 365, Inventor.
• Familiarity with Electrical standards and Safety standards.

Wage Range: $36.00 - $52.00 / hour
