Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Vancouver seeks a senior Discipline Lead Material Controller to drive material control across multi-discipline projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, standards, and client requirements. You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize material planning, purchasing, and logistics for control system components.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of control systems, instrumentation, automation, design, 3D modeling, and material control experience in industrial project environments.
• Advanced knowledge of control system material control processes, including material planning, take-offs, Bills of Material, RFQs, purchase order support, expediting, supplier coordination, logistics, and material status reporting for instrumentation, automation, panels, cabinets, network, and field device materials.
• Experience supporting instrument index, I/O list, loop diagram, hook-up, panel layout, network architecture, MDU setup, 3D/2D material workflows, and control system design-to-material control integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership for control system material control across projects and align with objectives and standards.
• Oversee planning, purchasing, expediting, supplier coordination, logistics, field material management, and forecasting for control system commodities.
• Direct and audit material control processes, data governance, and dashboards; lead cross-functional coordination to resolve material issues.
• Develop, review, and approve material control plans, procedures, estimates, schedules, and logistics strategies.
• Mentor personnel, support training, and contribute to global material control improvements.
