The Senior Contract Management Specialist in Global Site Contracting / Clinical Development Operations may be responsible for ensuring the timely and appropriate execution of Clinical Study Agreements, Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements, Master Clinical Study Agreements, Investigator Initiated Study Agreements, Facility Use Agreements, and other site-related agreements, along with associated budgets and service provider agreements linked to CSAs. This role involves partnership with R&D business teams, Clinical Development Operations, Finance, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, and external parties. Responsibilities include drafting, negotiating, executing agreements, and ensuring contracts are delivered on time, within fair market value, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards. The SSCM acts as a contract management expert within the organization, mentoring colleagues and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely preparation and execution of CSAs, CDAs, budgets, and vendor agreements. Serve as point person for assigned regions for legal, finance, and clinical operations.
• Negotiate agreements and budgets with investigator sites, liaising with legal for approval of changes.
• Contribute to updating legal and budget templates and playbooks.
• Maintain documentation and tracking of agreements and site information.
• Coordinate priorities with stakeholders and escalate issues diplomatically and promptly.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and represent the contract management function on project teams.
• Demonstrate high competency in contract management, negotiation, and business standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, managing workload and training junior staff.
• Partner with Country Operations Managers to ensure effective contract management and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; healthcare, legal, or scientific background preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical research and/or contract/budget experience, with knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards.
• Proven negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and local languages as applicable.
• Proactive team player capable of maintaining high performance amid ambiguity and change.
• Experience in management and financial planning is advantageous.
