Job summary

NORR is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to oversee contracts within our Public Studio, ensuring contractors and owners meet obligations and that project documentation is complete. You will support constructability reviews and provide clarifications and recommendations to help realize project goals.

Responsibilities include site visits, tracking shop drawings and progress payments, coordinating with authorities, and leading meetings with key stakeholders until project close-out.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed related post-secondary education
• Architectural or engineering systems design and presentation, M&E and structural building systems, permit and building code
• Registered with a relevant professional association is an asset
• Experience in strategic development, business development, project management, and client management is required
• Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and resourcefulness
• 10+ years of contract administration experience

Responsibilities

• Perform site visits to ensure compliance with contract and building codes; prepare reports and liaise with owner and contractor to resolve issues
• Track and review shop drawings, schedules, samples, progress payments, change documents; ensure documentation is complete
• Coordinate with contractor, sub-consultants, or authorities to address constructability or owner concerns
• Prepare project change documentation, including sketches and drawings
• Attend and conduct progress meetings with stakeholders throughout the project
• Ensure all close-out documents are submitted to appropriate parties upon completion

As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will observe the construction of projects within our Public Studio to ensure that Contractors and Owners are fulfilling their respective roles and obligations as outlined in the construction contract. In addition, they will assist in realizing the project by providing Contractors with document clarifications, technical interpretations/recommendations, and review of financial progress. Contract Administrators also assist design and technical staff with constructability reviews and feedback.

You Will Make an Impact by

• Performing site visits to determine compliance with construction contract and relevant building and safety codes; prepare reports to document progress, identify any deviation from the construction contract and liaise with owner and contractor to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Tracking and reviewing shop drawings, schedules, samples, progress payments, alternate requests, and project change documents to ensure all project documentation is accurate and complete
• Coordinating with contractor, sub-consultants, or relevant building authorities to address and document issues with constructability or owner concerns
• Preparing project change documentation, including sketches and drawings
• Attending and conducting progress meetings before, during, and after the duration of the project to exchange information and resolve issues or concerns with various key stakeholders
• Ensuring that all project close out documents are submitted and forwarded to appropriate parties upon completion of the project

The hiring base salary range for this vacant position is $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as education, experience, internal equity and skills.
