CIBC is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Developer to join the Core Banking and Product Technology group, focusing on the Insurance portfolio. You will design, implement and maintain scalable solutions, lead technical design and integration, and contribute to a digital transformation across backend systems.

The role requires strong experience in Java, Spring, Angular, and cloud platforms, with opportunities to work across on-site and remote settings. Prior insurance domain exposure is a plus.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, MongoDB and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Salesforce and MuleSoft development is a plus, plus DevOps CI/CD.
• Comfort with designing scalable backend and API-driven architectures in an insurance/regulated domain is advantageous.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Core Banking and Product Technology group supporting the Insurance portfolio. You’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems.As a Full stack Developer, you will build, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience.You’ll lead the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications.

How you’ll succeed

• Design and development - Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities. Design the application’s technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
• Strategic planning - Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
• Leadership skills - Support and mentor team members by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate 5+ years of experience in technical tools such as: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, MongoDB, AWS ,Restful APIs.It is an assetif you have: Salesforce & MuleSoft development experience, DevOps CI/CD development experience. Cloud development - Azure/AWS/GCP.
• You have experience delivering technology solutions in the Insurance industry, with an understanding of core insurance workflows and regulated environments, is considered an asset.
