Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead Treasury Advisory engagements in FAAS for Toronto clients. You’ll apply hands-on treasury expertise, supervise teams, and deliver high-quality engagement outcomes across liquidity, cash flow forecasting, risk management, and technology implementations such as Kyriba or SAP Treasury.

This role offers collaboration across EY functions, with opportunities to build relationships with major clients and drive growth in a dynamic, global network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3–5 years of related work experience preferred.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is desirable.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is preferred.
• Experience with treasury processes and advisory work.
• Experience with treasury systems like Kyriba or SAP Treasury beneficial.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

The role of the Treasury Senior Consultant is to ensure the successful execution of Treasury engagements by applying hands‑on practical Treasury skills and expertise. You’ll also provide supervision and mentoring to staff and serve as point person for Managers, Senior Managers and Partners.

Skills and attributes for success

• Support project team by ensuring products/deliverables are met and contract/ work plan specifications and deadlines are achieved
• Take ownership for delivery of high quality work by supporting a broad range of Treasury projects which may include: liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, risk management, Treasury technology, post- merger integration and organizational design
• Have prior hands on TMS implementation experience, especially focusing on either Kyriba or SAP Treasury
• Provide supervision and mentoring to staff and serve as point person for the client and internal EY teams
• Maintain a strong client focus by being responsive to client requests and developing/maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel.
• Participate in meetings and interviews with client treasury personnel
• Assist with the development of client deliverables and engagement documentation
• Support as requested with proposal development and business development initiatives for prospective treasury engagements
• Demonstrate professionalism while working in the client environment
• Collaborate with Manager/Senior Manager/Partner to help mitigate project related risk
• Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends and industry developments
• Develop and maintain strong networks, both internally and externally and Work with other service lines in providing an integrated service delivery
• Seek opportunities to present EY's services to clients

Ideally, you’ll also have

• A bachelor's degree and approximately 3 to 5 years of related work experience
• A master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering or another relevant discipline
• Certified Treasury Professional qualification
• Consulting experience on complex projects
• System selection and implementation experience, especially with SAP TRM or Kyriba
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Strong communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills
• Desire and ability to work closely with engagement team members and clients
• Advanced skills and experience with: Treasury organizational structure and transformation, Financial risk management (currency, interest rate, commodity), Cash flow forecasting, Cash and liquidity management,
• Bank relationship management, Treasury technology, International treasury center, Debt and investment management, Governance, controls and regulation, M&A support, Hedge accounting

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
