Senior Construction Superintendent Western Canada - Flexible Location

You are a seasoned Construction Superintendent skilled at delivering projects with a safety-first mindset. You will manage a variety of industrial projects, both domestic and international, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and innovation within our Project Delivery Group. A Day in the Life
  1. Coordinate and oversee onsite construction activities.
  2. Support management of the Construction Schedule, Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, and related documentation.
  3. Ensure work is executed as per design specifications, standards, and contractual requirements while prioritizing safety.
  4. Implement continuous improvements to enhance project performance.
  5. Assist in recruiting, developing, and retaining project team members, including contractors and subcontractors.
  6. Maintain strong relationships for effective communication and collaboration at all levels.
  7. Develop remediation plans to address schedule or cost issues.
  8. Role may be site-based, depending on project requirements.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience as a Construction Superintendent in Mining, Water Treatment, or Heavy Industrial Sectors.
  • Experience with heavy civils and mechanical construction in dam and pond development.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems across project phases.
  • P. Eng qualifications in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
  • Proficiency with 3D models, CAD software, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.
  • Effective leadership skills and experience working with diverse disciplines and external clients.
  • Understanding of contract terms and the ability to manage to contract specifications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of heavy industry safety protocols and policies.
