You are a seasoned Construction Superintendent skilled at delivering projects with a safety-first mindset. You will oversee various industrial projects, both domestic and international, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and innovation within our Project Delivery Group. A Day in the Life
  • Coordinate and oversee onsite construction activities.
  • Support management of the Construction Schedule, Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Request for Information, Change Notices, Non-Conformance Reports, commissioning, energizing processes, As-Built completions, and contract compliance.
  • Coordinate with management and engineering to ensure work is executed per design specifications, standards, and contractual requirements, prioritizing safety.
  • Implement continuous improvements to enhance project performance.
  • Assist in recruiting, developing, and retaining the project team, including contractors and subcontractors.
  • Establish strong interpersonal relationships for effective communication and collaboration at all levels.
  • Oversee regular project reporting, including updates on cost, schedule, progress, KPIs, NCRs, and RFIs.
  • Develop remediation plans to address schedule or cost issues.
  • Role may be site-based depending on project requirements.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience as a Construction Superintendent in Mining, Water Treatment, or Heavy Industrial sectors.
  • Heavy civils and mechanical construction experience in dam and pond development.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems through all project phases: construction, commissioning, operations.
  • P.Eng qualifications in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering and/or relevant experience to interface effectively with engineering and management.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, audit, and investigation skills.
  • Proficient in 3D models, CAD software, MS Project, and MS Office suite.
  • Effective leadership skills in interacting with diverse disciplines and external customers.
  • Understanding of contract terms and ability to manage according to specifications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of heavy industry safety processes and policies.
