Job description

Senior Construction Project Manager

Ready to trade the pace of big-city living for a better quality of life—without sacrificing the scale or complexity of the projects you lead?

Whether you're looking to escape long commutes, stretch your housing dollar further, or join a team where your work will leave a lasting mark on an entire city, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We're partnering with a well-established developer-builder that is delivering one of Atlantic Canada's largest and most ambitious mixed-use developments—a landmark waterfront community that will transform Halifax for the next decade. Featuring luxury residential towers, purpose-built rental communities, commercial space, hospitality, and vibrant public amenities, this is a rare opportunity to help shape one of Canada's most exciting urban developments.

Working alongside a highly respected Director of Construction and an exceptional leadership team, you'll take ownership of significant project phases while building a long-term career with a company that has years of work ahead and a reputation for quality, collaboration, and excellence.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you'll take ownership of major project phases from pre-construction through turnover, driving exceptional execution every step of the way. You'll work closely with site teams, consultants, trade partners, and executive leadership to deliver projects safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Lead the successful delivery of large-scale residential and mixed-use projects from planning through completion.
  • Drive project budgets, schedules, procurement, contracts, and financial performance.
  • Partner with Site Superintendents to ensure seamless coordination between field and office operations.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants, trade partners, and stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.
  • Anticipate challenges before they become problems, developing practical solutions that protect schedule and budget.
  • Champion quality, safety, and operational excellence across every stage of construction.
  • Mentor and support project team members while helping build a high-performing in-house construction team.
Why Join?
  • Lead construction on one of Atlantic Canada's largest and most exciting mixed-use developments.
  • Work alongside a respected Director of Construction and an experienced leadership team committed to excellence.
  • Join a well-established developer-builder with a substantial long-term pipeline and a vision for continued growth.
  • Take ownership of high-profile projects where your decisions will directly shape the skyline and waterfront.
  • Enjoy long-term career progression within a company that invests in its people and promotes from within.
  • Deliver projects with the scale, complexity, and sophistication typically found in Toronto or Vancouver—while enjoying a significantly better quality of life.
Why Halifax?

Halifax offers the best of both worlds: the career opportunities of a growing major city with the lifestyle advantages that are becoming increasingly difficult to find elsewhere in Canada.

Imagine trading long commutes for ocean views, spending weekends exploring beaches, hiking coastal trails, golfing, sailing, or enjoying one of Canada's most vibrant food and craft beer scenes—all while working on a career-defining project.

Many professionals relocating from larger markets are drawn by:

  • A more affordable cost of living than some of Canada’s bigger cities
  • Short commute times and a better work-life balance.
  • A thriving waterfront, year-round festivals, restaurants, and cultural events.
  • Easy access to nature, beaches, lakes, and outdoor recreation.
  • A welcoming, growing community with excellent schools, healthcare, and amenities.
  • Direct flights to Toronto, Montreal, New York, London, and other major destinations.

Whether you're looking to raise a family, spend less time commuting, or simply enjoy more of life outside of work, Halifax continues to be one of Canada's most desirable places to live.

Build More Than a Project. Build a Legacy.

If you're looking for more than your next project—if you want to help shape one of Canada's most significant waterfront developments while building a long-term career with an exceptional team—this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Whether you're already based in Halifax or considering relocating from Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, or elsewhere in Canada, we'd love to tell you more about this unique opportunity.
