Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple trades in Canada. You will set performance targets, monitor progress, and drive client satisfaction while ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality control are upheld.

You will lead a team of superintendents, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and champion company policies and procedures to achieve long-term project objectives. This is a site-based role with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in powerline construction in a leadership role.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• Thorough understanding of construction practices, contracts, costs and budgets.
• Ability to analyze key issues and develop practical solutions.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with stakeholders and mentor leadership.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Proven track record of building high-performing teams.
• Clean drivers abstract.
• Experience on industrial/oil & gas, or mining projects.

Responsibilities

• Equip superintendents with resources to complete projects safely and per plans.
• Lead development of quality policies and procedures.
• Promote safety and participate in safety discussions at senior management level.
• Oversee safety meetings and ensure compliance.
• Lead development of complex project schedules across multiple trades.
• Ensure manpower, materials, tools & resources meet the schedule.
• Assist estimating with labour and execution planning for large pursuits.
• Provide guidance to project staff and allocate resources to meet objectives.
• Lead subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
