Job summary

Wildland Development, a Sasuchan Development Corporation company, seeks an experienced General Foreman to lead construction crews and coordinate field operations on infrastructure and development projects in Prince George, BC.

You will supervise self-performed and subcontracted work, translate plans into direction for foremen, and uphold project objectives, safety, and quality across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Trade Certification or related designation preferred.
  • 3+ years of construction experience.
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and trades.
  • Knowledge of contract risk management.
  • Basic understanding of Human Resources and Labour Relations practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using scheduling and project management software.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Experience working with First Nations communities or Indigenous-led projects is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development of construction strategies, project execution plans, schedules, and estimates.
  • Lead field crews and foremen, ensuring health, safety, quality and productivity.
  • Review project drawings with subcontractors and personnel.
  • Assist in planning, inspection, testing and safe work plans.
  • Maintain safe, respectful working environment and secure project site assets.
  • Attend progress and safety meetings with subcontractors and review upcoming work.
  • Support project closeout activities including settlements and demobilization.
