Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. seeks an Accountant to maintain ledgers, registers, and journals within a fast-paced Business Services Group Accounting team. You will collaborate with colleagues, support the Senior Accountant, and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.

You should bring 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and be on track for CPA/CFE within 12 months. On-site presence is required for optimal collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience performing full-cycle accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent in relevant work experience.
• CPA designation or scheduled to take the CFE within the next 12 months.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines, particularly around month and quarter end close.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with IFRS/US GAAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for a portfolio of companies.
• Prepare general journal entries and reconciliations for accurate reporting.
• Analyze balance sheets and income statements; prepare variance analyses.
• Maintain PPE, CWIP, and fixed asset schedules; assist budget/forecast inputs.
• Support year-end audit procedures and implement process improvements.
