Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a seasoned legal professional to lead commercial contract drafting and negotiation for its procurement function in Canada (Dorval, QC). The role emphasizes collaboration with operational teams, risk management, and strategic supplier negotiations.

Fluency in English and French is required, with Spanish as a plus. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of North American bar experience, strong drafting skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Experience in supply chain and procurement is an asset.
• Member in good standing of a North American Bar for 7+ years.
• Fluent in French and English; Spanish is an asset.
• Strong drafting and communication skills with good business sense.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in strategic meetings as a business partner for Bombardier's operational teams.
• Draft agreements and support internal clients in negotiations with suppliers.
• Provide guidance and legal opinions on contract provisions and contract-related issues.
• Be involved in claims management, including reviewing and negotiating settlement agreements.
• Proactively manage risk through training and coaching of your business partners, and through contract governance processes.
• Help to find and integrate best industry practices for negotiating and drafting aerospace procurement contracts.
