Job summary

Eclipse Automation in Cambridge, ON is seeking a CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our on-site machining team. You will read drawings, program CNC mills, lathes and routers with Mastercam, and develop 3D programs from surfaces and solids.

This role requires 7+ years of custom machining, a General Machinist qualification or equivalent, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment. We offer RRSP, vacation, tuition reimbursement, and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification for a General Machinist or equivalent automation/manufacturing experience.
• 7+ years of custom machining and programming with Mastercam.
• Experience with weldments, boring mill, and EDM is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
• Program CNC milling machines, lathe and router using Mastercam.
• Create 3D programs from surfaces and solids.
• 4th and 5th axis programming on CNC mill.
• Live tooling and 4-axis lathe programming.
• Build process sheets for material flow.
• Set up and adjust production machinery.
• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
• Collaborate in a team environment and communicate safely.
