S.I. Systems Ltd. is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Architect to lead security architecture strategy across Azure Cloud, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and Microsoft Defender for a public sector health client in Canada.

The role drives security roadmaps, standards, and reference architectures, providing enterprise-level guidance across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments while aligning with HIPAA/NIST-style controls and modernization initiatives. Remote Canada CST hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Security Architect role delivering enterprise security architecture initiatives.
• Development of multi-year Security Domain roadmaps aligned to enterprise strategy.
• Azure security architecture including Entra ID, Azure-native security controls, and cloud governance.
• Microsoft Defender and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) security architecture experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage multi-year Security Domain roadmaps aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Evaluate existing security architectures and recommend improvements.
• Define and maintain security architecture standards, controls, and reference architectures.
• Provide architectural leadership across Azure Cloud and VCF environments.
• Define security design principles for hybrid cloud platforms.
• Assess current-state security architecture and define target-state models and gap analysis.
• Advise stakeholders on security risks, mitigation strategies, and architectural alternatives.
