Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software testing experience.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Experience with virtualization environments (VMware/ESXi, Hypervisor).
• Knowledge of firewalls, Linux, sniffing tools.
• Strong knowledge of IPSec, SSL VPN, data encryption and authentication.
• Familiar with QA procedures and software development fundamentals.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting PC/server software & hardware in Windows and Linux.
• Ability to troubleshoot logically and analytically.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and meet deadlines.
• Scripting skills in shell, TCL, PERL or Python are assets.
• Strong writing skills.
• Databases, JSON API, Kubernetes are assets.

Responsibilities

• Work with Developers, Product Managers to understand features, use cases, and customer scenarios.
• Design test strategy, test plan and test cases.
• Execute testing with manual and automated techniques; create and maintain test specs.
• Write and maintain automation scripts.
• Identify, document, and track defects found during testing.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure defects are identified and fixed.
• Document release notes, user guides and use case scenarios for new releases.
