Job summary

EQ Bank, Canada’s Challenger Bank, is seeking a Staff Cloud Engineer to lead Azure platform design, IaC, and DevSecOps practices. You’ll work with Power Platform, AKS, and Terraform, delivering scalable, secure cloud services for both professional and citizen developers across the bank.

You’ll collaborate with security, engineering, and operations to improve platform maturity, governance, and cost optimization while joining a hybrid workplace in Toronto.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or SRE in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, PaaS, Power Platform, and AKS.
• Experience with Terraform/Bicep, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve Azure platform components including App Services, Functions, Key Vaults, and API Management.
• Develop IaC with Terraform or Bicep for scalable resource provisioning.
• Implement observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and operations to meet SLAs and compliance requirements.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads into AKS and promote DevSecOps initiatives.
