Job summary

EY Toronto seeks a self-driven Cloud Architect/Manager to plan and design technology solutions for client engagements, including building cloud platforms and AI-enabled solutions. You will drive governance, define roadmaps, and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure and private clouds.

This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with product and security teams, and hands-on capabilities with Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of deep technology experience at very large enterprises or web-scale product companies.
• 3–5 years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications on cloud.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management and ability to translate technology strategy into actionable roadmaps.
• Consulting experience is a plus.
• Azure certification required; other cloud certifications (AWS, Google Cloud) accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud assessments, architecture workshops and technical strategy discussions, translating findings into actionable roadmaps.
• Identify right cloud technologies and template/automate them for scale across products and applications.
• Architect & Design cloud solutions (Azure/AWS) that are secure, scalable and compliant with EY standards.
• Architect and build AI-enabled cloud platforms with LLMs, RAG and agents, with security and responsible AI built-in.
• Operationalize AI solutions with automation, guardrails and observability to manage quality and cost.
• Establish reusable cloud platform patterns, IaC, GitOps, CI/CD and engineering automation.
• Design strategies to deploy, monitor and administer cloud applications and underlying services (Azure/AWS/private cloud).
• Architect and implement DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines (VSTS, Jira, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef).
• Build quick POCs and write code to explore new technology solutions.
