Job summary

InVita Healthcare Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform RUN Engineer to join our hybrid Ontario team near Ottawa. The role focuses on MAK.care and supporting products, with responsibility for automated deployments, security hardening, and performance monitoring.

You will deploy and manage microservices in AWS, collaborate across teams, and participate in on-call rotations, driving reliable platform operations and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
• In-depth AWS experience running production workloads, migrations, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting to automate configuration via APIs/SDKs (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with source control (Git, SVN).
• Infra-as-code for provisioning (CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Helm, Pulumi, Terraform).
• Build/deploy tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodeDeploy, Ansible).
• Relational databases deployment/management (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• SDLC understanding: design, architecture, test automation, deployment, monitoring/alerting.
• 24/7 support exposure; Linux experience; container tech (Docker, CRI-O).
• Knowledge of Java development environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous deployment of applications and infrastructure on AWS.
• Build and configure tools and scripts for automated deployment pipeline.
• Collaborate with peers to identify issues and improve systems.
• Ensure tools meet service-level objectives with internal teams and third parties.
• Monitor systems and proactively address performance issues.
• Support security hardening, load and performance testing.
• Manage incidents with root-cause analysis and monthly on-call rotation.
• Enable innovation with new tools, processes, and techniques.
