Job summary

McKesson is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across enterprise infrastructure spanning cloud and on‑premises environments. You will set the technical direction for initiatives, drive automation, and collaborate with senior teams to deliver secure, high‑performing solutions.

This role requires 10+ years in infrastructure engineering, strong knowledge of Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, and automation tools, with a focus on reliability and cost

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent and 10+ years of relevant infrastructure experience.
• 10+ years in infrastructure engineering and enterprise-scale design.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong experience with network engineering concepts including BGP, routing protocols, and network design.
• Proven experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) for infrastructure deployment.
• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale infrastructure projects and serve as escalation point for complex issues.
• Experience working with enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Set technical direction for infrastructure initiatives and enforce enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
• Drive and oversee delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects aligned with business objectives.
• Own network capacity planning, including optimization of performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Serve as escalation point for critical incidents and lead complex troubleshooting across infrastructure environments.
• Drive innovation through infrastructure automation, orchestration, and reliability engineering practices.
• Develop and enforce governance frameworks for SLAs, OLAs, and security/compliance requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve infrastructure capabilities.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals.
