Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a senior Cloud Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the backbone of its cloud data ecosystem in Toronto, Ontario. You will own enterprise cloud platform capabilities in Azure, focusing on IaC with Terraform, CI/CD with Azure DevOps, and PowerShell automation.

You will collaborate with architects, data engineers, security, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure data and AI workloads while driving automation and operational excellence

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in cloud/data/platform engineering or related fields.
• Strong hands-on Terraform skills with reusable modules and secure deployment patterns.
• Advanced PowerShell experience for automation in cloud environments.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps experience with Git workflows and CI/CD design.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise cloud platform capabilities within Microsoft Azure for data, analytics, ML/AI workloads.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform with reusable modules and standardized deployment patterns.
• Build automation scripts, deployment pipelines, platform services, and operational tooling.
• Create automation using PowerShell and Azure DevOps; maintain CI/CD pipelines for infra and services.
• Lead technical sessions, review designs, and communicate risks to delivery teams and leadership.
• Engineer platform capabilities across Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Synapse Analytics; ensure governance.
• Coach junior engineers and promote best practices; develop runbooks and documentation.
