Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a Principal Architect – AI & Data Platforms to lead the Enterprise AI and Emerging Technology team. You will shape the strategy across AI, Data Platforms, and Governance, define end-to-end architecture vision, and drive scalable solutions with governance, standards, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will guide large-scale transformations, mentor teams, and ensure alignment with security and enterprise principles, leveraging Azure or other cloud

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, data platforms, or AI/ML solutions.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale AI and data solutions across ecosystems.
• Agentic AI experience including tools, orchestration frameworks, LLMs, and LLMOps.
• GenAI capabilities with monitoring, testing, and governance.
• Cloud and big data tech with Databricks, Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Unity Catalog.
• MLE/MLops, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve AI and Data Platform architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Lead enterprise blueprints for data platforms, AI pipelines, BI, and governance.
• Architect scalable data and AI solutions on cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Guide governance, security, and compliance across programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture.
• Mentor architecture teams and drive engineering practice improvements.
