Apex Systems is a global IT services provider with a staffing group currently seeking a Senior Cloud Business Analyst for a 13-month contract. The role is remote, with occasional in-office visits (1-2 times/year). Candidates should have strong experience in requirements gathering, cloud projects, and tools such as Power BI and JIRA.

Responsibilities include:

• Understanding and explaining core processes, risks, and mitigation techniques.
• Reducing complexity and conducting independent analysis to resolve strategic issues.
• Preparing end-user materials and gathering/documenting requirements for audits, reports, and projects.
• Validating requirements with stakeholders through reviews and walkthroughs.
• Creating documentation to support analyses, primarily focusing on business within BMO, with potential enterprise-wide responsibilities.
• Diagnosing and solving problems independently within given rules.

Key Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of technical and analytical experience, proficient with Power BI, Automate, Query, Excel, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Experience creating reports, transforming, and loading data from various sources.
• Comfortable with formulas in Power BI and Excel.
• Strong data analysis skills to identify trends and insights.
• Basic understanding of AWS and Azure cloud services and the Cloud Control & Shared Responsibility Matrices.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and experience with Jira and ServiceNow.

Nice to Haves:

• Previous banking experience.
• Leadership skills and ability to start quickly.
