Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect (Microsoft Azure) to join our team. In this role, you will design, deploy, and manage cloud environments for our clients, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions. You will also play a critical role in pre-sales activities, collaborating with our sales team to develop tailored cloud strategies that meet client needs. This position has the opportunity to grow as the Cloud team scales and will operate from the company headquarters in downtown Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Deployment: Design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Azure environments for clients, ensuring best practices in security, compliance, and performance.
• Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop customized cloud solutions that align with their goals.
• Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during client meetings, including solution demonstrations, scoping, and proposal development.
• Monitoring & Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain Azure environments, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud environments meet industry compliance standards and implement security best practices.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work alongside other architects, engineers, and technical teams to share knowledge and continuously improve cloud service offerings.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system designs, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or consulting environment.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
• Strong understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to cloud solutioning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migrations from on-premises to Azure.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
