Job summary

Cover Genius is seeking a Senior Client Solutions Engineer to articulate value, guide partners through integration, and support them post-implementation. You will solve complex technical problems, communicate with diverse stakeholders, and design tailored integration blueprints using our REST APIs.

You will work with a cross‑functional team to deliver high‑impact solutions, run discovery sessions, and provide hands‑on coding assistance to customer developers during onboarding.

Qualifications

• 8+ years programming experience in Python, JavaScript, Java or PHP.
• 8+ years of experience with web technologies (HTTP, HTML, JSON).
• 8+ years of customer-facing experience in sales, sales engineering, or consulting.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales & Solution Design: assist with partnerships, prepare technical sales material, develop POCs and support demonstrations.
• Integration & Support: deep product/architecture understanding, manage multiple engagements, guide integrations via REST APIs, provide code samples and architecture guidance.
• Growth & Process Improvement: use SQL/BigQuery/Data Studio to identify growth opportunities and automate processes to optimize client engagements.

About the Role

As a Senior Client Solutions Engineer on our Product Team, you will articulate and showcase the value of our product offerings from pre-sales, to guiding partners through the integration process and supporting them post-implementation.
To drive success in this role, you will have a proven track record of technical problem-solving and client engagement, along with a deep understanding of software development and system architecture. As a Senior Client Solutions Engineer, you will need to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be responsible for partnering with clients to understand their technical requirements and challenges, and then designing and implementing tailored solutions that align with their needs.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design:

• Work with the Partnership team to assist with new partnership opportunities, prepare technical sales material, develop proof of concepts (POCs) and support demonstrations to win new business

• Design optimal solutions to ensure minimal technical issues, enable opportunities for growth and provide the ideal customer experience

• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Integration & Support:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of Cover Genius’ product technology and underlying architectures

• Support multiple partner engagements concurrently, ensuring timely and successful integrations through managing internal and external stakeholders

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer workflows and design custom integration blueprints using our REST APIs.

• Provide hands‑on coding assistance, sample scripts, and architectural guidance to customer developers during the onboarding phase.

• Identifying, troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining the root cause of issues that may arise with partner integrations

Growth & Process Improvement:

• Use SQL, Google BigQuery, Google Data Studio and related technologies to identify and present actionable business growth opportunities to partners

• Identify opportunities for improving process, make recommendations and implement changes through automation of activities to optimize client engagements

Skills & Experience

What you will bring:

• 8 or more years programming experience in Python, JavaScript, Java, or PHP

• 8 or more years of experience with web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, JSON, etc

• 8 or more years of customer-facing experience in sales, sales engineering, consulting or related function

• Deep understanding of RESTful JSON APIs & third party integrations is required; experience with diverse API frameworks is a significant plus.

• Proficiency with AI and LLM tooling, including practical experience building or deploying agentic workflows, with the ability to evaluate outputs critically and apply AI to accelerate technical delivery and client engagement

• Strong strategic, analytical and tactical skills; must be able to create plans and then execute individual as well as with a cross‑functional team

• Experience in managing technically complex products in a B2B technology environment

• Proven ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing

• Excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, A postgraduate degree and/or record of academic achievement is also desirable

*This position offers a base salary range of C$135,000 to C$175,000 annually.
