We are actively hiring a Senior Claim Advisor, Accident Benefits to join our team! You will be responsible for handling first-party injury claims.

Accountabilities:

• Interpret insurance policy wording, determine coverages, and set reserves on Accident Benefit claims
• Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims of moderate to high complexity via various communication methods
• Follow company policies and legislative requirements
• Thoroughly document files and ensure claims are settled within authority limits
• Set and manage customer service expectations
• Collaborate with claimants, vendors, medical professionals, and lawyers professionally
• Work with a team of Accident Benefit Adjusters and Claims Assistants

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent preferred
• 2-4 years relevant Accident Benefits experience
• CIP designation or pursuit preferred
• Knowledge of injury claims, medical rehabilitation, and terminology preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in French is an asset
