Job summary

HOCS Projects seeks a Senior Civil Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversee civil/structural scopes on industrial projects in Canada. You will mentor junior engineers, review designs, and ensure compliance with codes while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.

The role requires a Canadian P.Eng., 10+ years of experience, and travel to remote project sites for field verification and construction support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
Current Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA.
Ability to authenticate civil/structural deliverables as Engineer of Record when required.
Legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Lead civil/structural engineering on projects and oversee deliverables.
Perform design and analysis for structural steel, foundations, and site development.
Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Contribute to DBMs, FEEDs, CWPs, and scope definitions.
Establish design standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
Mentor junior engineers and maintain project discipline quality.
Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and clients; visit sites as needed.
