Join our Aviation team as a Senior Civil Project Engineer – Aviation and take the lead on some of Canada’s most significant airport infrastructure projects. From runways and taxiways to airfield lighting and de-icing facilities, you’ll provide strategic direction, mentor junior engineers, and ensure technical excellence across multidisciplinary teams. Your Impact
  • Lead and oversee conceptual, functional, and detailed design phases for major airport infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with TP312, ICAO, and FAA standards.
  • Manage project delivery including scope, budget, schedule, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and clients to build strong relationships and deliver strategic solutions.
  • Drive innovation in design methodologies, sustainability practices, and digital tools.
  • Champion quality assurance and continuous improvement across all deliverables.
  • Contribute to business development, including proposal leadership and client presentations.
  • Represent WSP at industry forums and maintain thought leadership in aviation engineering.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible for registration.
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering experience with a strong focus on aviation infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Expertise in TP312 5th Edition and familiarity with ICAO/FAA standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willingness to travel for client and project needs.
Compensation
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $104,100 – $138,000
  • MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800
  • NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100 – $124,900
