Job summary

EBC Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator for our Civil Team to prepare accurate construction estimates and budgets for large infrastructure projects across Canada, including bridges, roads, and water works.

You will review tender documents, perform quantity take-offs, build Level 1 schedules in MS Project, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids and timely award decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating civil construction projects.
• Experience with heavy civil pricing (cofferdams, shoring, road construction, bridge rehabilitation).
• Experience using estimating software and adapting to new tools.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all estimating aspects of the Tendering process.
• Review tender documents to determine scope, milestones and constraints.
• Provide detailed estimates with complete quantity take-off and scope.
• Build Level 1 schedule in MS Project with resources and milestones.
• Prepare final estimate summaries and analyze scope, pricing, and completeness.
• Maintain backup files with current prices from suppliers.
• Participate in post-bid interviews with operations team.
• Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Ensure internal bid review meetings with senior management.
