Responsibilities

1. Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification and assessment, structural design, and ageing management.
2. Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry, and compile design documents and engineering packages.
3. Analyze structural systems and elements using analysis software such as ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, SSASI, and others.
4. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, and verify design adequacy for permits and approved plans.
5. Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs.
6. Prepare technical specification documents.
7. Deliver engineering tasks within specified timelines and budgets.
8. Provide technical guidance to junior staff and review work for accuracy and quality.
9. Participate in design reviews and prepare engineering estimates and proposals.
10. Perform plant walkdowns as required for design and engineering support.

Your Profile

• Civil Engineering degree; Master's preferred.
• Licensed in a recognized Canadian engineering organization; P.Eng. in Ontario preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of structural analysis and design experience, including 3-5 years in Nuclear Power Plants.
• Knowledge of Canadian and international codes, analysis software, seismic analysis, and nuclear safety standards.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Eligible for security clearance; willingness to travel.
